NYC Woman

Grand Central Terminal
Bejeweled in Times Square
It was while living in NYC that I fell in love with both the city and hospital medicine. Hospital medicine was a young specialty in 2007 when I was finishing my internal medicine training at NYU Lutheran in Brooklyn, NY. I chose to pursue a career as a hospitalist during this time. Both NYC and HM were fast-paced, energetic, modern, and intellectually stimulating – both perfectly fit my young adult personality. I am lucky enough to be a practicing hospitalist 19 years later while living only 40 minutes north of NYC in Westchester. Life has led me back to the area where my hospitalist career began, and I am still just as mesmerized by this great city as I was back then.
