The Hospitalist

Danielle Scheurer, MD, MSCR, SFHM

The Hospitalist's editorial staff includes Physician Editor Danielle Scheurer, MD, MSCR, SFHM. She is a hospitalist and the chief quality officer at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston. She is former SHM physician advisor, an SHM blogger, and member of SHM's Education Committee. She also serves as faculty of SHM's annual meeting "ABIM Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Learning Session" pre-course. Dr. Scheurer earned her undergraduate degree at Emory University in Atlanta, graduated medical school from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and trained at Duke University in Durham, N.C.

Jason Carris

Editor Jason Carris has worked as a writer and editor for more than 20 years in the newspaper industry. He has writing, editing and supervisory experience in the news, business, sports and multimedia departments at community and metropolitan publications. He has won numerous writing and section awards.

Lisa Dionne

Editorial Director Lisa Dionne has worked in editorial for more than 15 years, editing a variety of healthcare titles. Her work has earned nine awards for editorial excellence.

The Hospitalist also boasts a freelance writing staff of more than 15 journalists who have-collectively-more than 50 years' worth of experience covering healthcare issues.
